About OpenToAfrica

OpenToAfrica lists remote AI and software engineering jobs that developers living in Africa, especially Nigeria, can actually be hired for. It was started by Augustine Ekene Emeka because most "remote" jobs quietly mean "remote, US only".

How it works

1. Every day we pull open roles from the public job boards of 149 tech companies (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable).
2. We keep engineering, AI/ML, data, DevOps and security roles.
3. Each role is checked against its locations and description. Open to Africa means the posting says Worldwide/Anywhere or names an African country. Likely open means EMEA, Africa-friendly time zones (UTC+0 to +3) or global contractor hiring (Deel, Remote.com and similar). Roles that require US/EU work authorization or name only other countries are dropped.
4. Pay is shown when the company publishes it.
